BIOGRAPHY
When The Lamplighters in San Francisco scooped Carly up to begin purveying the works of Gilbert and Sullivan (G&S) little did they know the journey that was ahead. Carly’s vocal change in their 30’s to contralto opened the door to many new opportunities. They first understudied Catiscia (Katisha) in Il Ducato (The Mikado) https://youtu.be/S4vFZ8X71ns?si=T8y-_G3jrsK6GRM_ and then got to be part of the most epic production of Ruddygore whose story took place in Mexico instead of the original Cornwall. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UnhLGaizhMY
As a non-binary actor, Carly was elated to step into the chorus of Pirates of Penzance, portraying a swashbuckling tenor. https://youtu.be/TJO04cy0UkI
They hopped over to Troupers Light Opera in Connecticut to play Buttercup in HMS Pinafore https://youtu.be/UlhJzVtVrnk?si=i9eWh4Y2V_vTIcB-
And headed back to The Lamplighters to portray Mrs. Partlett in The Sorcerer. https://youtu.be/wvieK0bmy38
Upcoming:
Carly is the first non-binary Sir Joseph Porter, KCB in HMS Pinafore with the Lamplighters in August 2025! They’re beyond excited to sail the seas as an old gay british man who is afraid of water.
